There’s No Place Like Home
Early this morning, as I lay in bed willing myself to sleep, my mind kept spinning and spinning on all there is to do yet for this project. My plans for this week are to finalize the implementation of my new theme, but the fact that my creative product is still nebulous is starting to stress me out.
I have a general idea about what I plan to create, but exactly what it will look like and how I will bring it to life is still amorphous. So today I am spending time researching the mediums of paper and wool. Or at least, that was the plan.
For the last couple weeks, E.F. and I have been biking downtown to a lovely little cafe where we set up our laptops and tap the hours away at one of their sidewalk tables. This morning found us in our usual spot; a serene, peaceful setting (if a bit warm), with just enough breeze to keep things comfortable. Unfortunately the serenity didn’t last: our table was mere feet away from a car hurtling through the window of a (luckily) empty office suite. Thankfully no one was hurt, however since our workspace is now the purview of tow-trucks and police vehicles, it’s time to relocate. Working from home in the cool safety of the porch has never sounded so good!
